CMAT(Common Management Admission Test)

The Notification for conducting National Level Common Management Admission Test (CMAT) for admission in management programmes for academic year 2015-16 is released by AICTE.

About CMAT:

CMAT(Common Management Admission Test) is conducted by AICTE(All India Council For Technical Education) for admission in Management Programmes offered by various AICTE approved institutions and University Departments of all the states, and one of the five tests for PGDM programmes for 2014-15.

Programmes and Eligibility Criteria:

 

The qualification and eligibility criteria for admission to Management programs (Diploma and Post Graduation) is as follows:

1. Management (PGDM,MBA and similar):

The candidate must have Recognized Bachelor’s Degree of minimum 3 Yrs duration Obtained at least 50% (45% in case of candidate belonging to reserved category) at the qualifying Examination.

2. Management (PGCM):

The candidate must have Recognized Bachelor’s Degree of minimum 3 Yrs duration.

3. Management (Executive PGDM):

The candidate must have any recognized Bachelor’s Degree of minimum 3 Yrs duration at least 50% (45% in case of candidate belonging to reserved category) at the qualifying Examination and  a minimum of 5 years relevant managerial / supervisory experience.

Test Pattern for CMAT:

The CMAT contains 4 sections and each section contains 25 questions. Those 4 sections are

1. Quantitative Techniques & Data Interpretation.
2. Logical Reasoning
3. Language Comprehension
4. General Awareness

The CMAt is an Online exam and the duration of the exam will be 180 minutes and there is negative marks for wrong answer. Each wrong answer 1 mark shall be deducted.

The candidates will be given two opportunities to appear in CMAT.
First in September, 2014 and Second in February,2015. The better of two scores will be used for admission for 2015-16.

The registration Proces for CMAT exam contains 3 stages which are
1. Self Registration.
2. Payment Process
3. Application Form Filling

Test Fee: The fee for CMAT exam is

a). For General and OBC candidates Rs.1400 + Bank Charges.
b) For SC/ST/PD candidates Rs.700 + Bank charges.

Mode of Payment:

The candidate can pay the fee for CMAT exam through Net Banking/Credit/Debit card or Through challan generated online and Cash deposited in any branch of State Bank of India.

Important Dates for CMAT 2015-16 (First Test):

a). Registration window opens on: 03.07.2014.
b). Last Date for Online Registration: 25.08.2014
c). Print out of Hall ticket: From 12.09.2014
d). Computer Based Test Dates: 25.09.2014 to 29.09.2014.
e). Test Timings: 9.30 am -12.30 pm and 2.30 pm - 5.30 pm.
f). Declaration of result: 30.10.2014.
g). Print out of Score Cards: 30.10.2014 to 30.11.2014.
