Technology giant Apple, on Friday, launched its latest iPad in India priced at Rs.30,500 onwards.
Featuring a new retina display, the new iPad comes with Apple's new A5X chip with quad-core graphics and a 5 megapixel iSight camera and 1080pHD video.
The latest version of the iconic tablet is available in Wi-Fi and Wi-Fi+4G model in black or white in 16GB, 32GB and 64GB variants.
While the 16GB version of the Wi-Fi variant is priced at Rs.30,500 (including VAT), the 32GB and 64GB will be priced at Rs.36,500 and Rs.42,500, respectively.
The iPad Wi-Fi + 4G models are available at Rs.38,900 for 16GB, Rs.44,900 for 32GB and Rs.50,900 for the 64GB variant.
The new iPad is, however, not compatible with the 4G LTE network available in India as the 4G LTE model is supported only on AT&T and Verizon networks in the U.S. and on Bell, Rogers and Telus networks in Canada.
The company has also slashed the prices of the previous generation of devices.
iPad 2 is now available at Rs.24,500 for the 16 GB (Wi-Fi model) and Rs.32,900 for the 16 GB Wi-Fi + 3G model.
The new iPad will be available in India, a month after its launch in ten countries, including the U.S.
